Iwould say that the S6 with AOD on lasts longer than the S3- I give a quick charge in the morning when I get ready (Sleep tracking takes quite a bit of battery but the S6 charges 20% faster than the SE and S3, so I typically leave with a full charge) Battery life is really not a problem with this watch, I typically get home with ~20%. 2.
Nowthat the iPhone finally supports AOD I thought I can finally keep my iPhone on a stand and glance at it during work but I noticed after awhile the iPhone AOD turns off. Is there a way to keep the screen on or should Apple rename this
No I have always had Samsung galaxies and with OLED screens the always on pixels are the only ones On. It's usually a handful of white pixels to show the time and barely uses any power. I was also hoping this would come with the LTPO display like it did with the Apple Watch series 5. Asof June 30th/July 1st, the API changes results have begun. Googleand Samsung use minimalist AODs, so their battery life is less impacted when it is on, compared to apple's full screen AODs approach. All of them uses LTPO panels at similar sizes and resolution (probably all made by Samsung anyway). When off, their rankings pretty much revert back to their SoC's efficiency.
